I payed for a few character slots and all 4 chapters..then played for 3000+ hrs and still going. I probably saved over $5,000 by playing GW instead of going to movies, out to eat, etc. So yes was and is worth it

I do and i don't, It has saved me a lot of money i'd have spent on other random crappy games and i started playing when i had broken my leg so it was a nice way of not just being locked in house.

However, although not badly (yet), it has affected my outside life. I still have my outside life in full size, however i do tend to find myself less willing to put effort into doing things outside and with my friends since i can get nearly as much enjoyment from less effort by playing GW.

Its also affected my grades a bit, i put that down to preoccupation.

However, i know the problems there which is why i'm fixing it.

That's also a part of it for me. Playing games is economical. The way I play games is to do EVERYTHING in them. If a website says a game has a 30 hour storyline, that means it will take me about 100 hours to beat it (I read every dialogue bit my first time through a game, explore extensively, etc). Plus endgame content for a few more hours.

I figure I want to get my moneys worth for a $40-70 USD product. If you play a game for... 10 hours total, you just really wasted a ton of money.

It seems nowadays many people want instant gratification and rush through all they do. If GW2 didn't come out for 2 more years I would still have plenty of game time left with GW.

Without Guild Wars, I would be in better fit, have more friends, be better piano player, have better school grades (well, atm my grade average is 8.8, from 4 to 10)`, etc.

Besides, all friends would be just "friends", ppl who is there just talk some shit and smoke weed (joking). So not really FRIENDS.

I'm not a nerd, i have to say. I have social life, girlfriend, much real friends etc. But, in fact, without GW my life would be "better". But, however, it is worth it. I have had so many great moments with this game. Specially noob times. It is worth it.

And, Guild Wars helped me to survive my worst summerjob. I worked 7hours a day, thinking about things i would do at gw when i get to home. When i got to home, i played, played and played. 7hours a day, 6 days a week working, and then, i played 97hours gw at one week. I survived my summerjob. It was great. TY GW!

I've been told numerous times that anything is more important than a video game, and that time spent doesn't mean anything.

I've come to find I feel different for this game. I don't regret my time playing.

Lol. Quoted for truth. I spend more time reading these forums then playing nowadays. I'm really glad there isn't an /age feature here. Reading the same "QQ I didn't get anything good from a chest FIX them now A.NET" or "PvE bites.... No PvP is the sux" over and over again gets annoying. Now THAT is a waste of my time.

I regret it. I've been so into this game that my school has been lacking and I barely made it into the next class. (is that even the correct word?)

I haven't been able to play GW for a few weeks now, and I've been enjoying it, really. It gives me something else to do, and I was getting bored of it anyway.

Even though I've made a couple of friends, I would not do it all over again.

I use GW to shift gears from work to play, a way to sit around the house and goof-off while waiting for my family to appear or call on me for help, or to shrug off inconsequetial troubles, to lighten the load of daily trivialities that grow absurdly large. To find insperation for ideas, writing, etc. A way to be with lots of fancy looking people, but not have to smell them. Best alternative to TV going. Like traveling while at your computer . . very relaxing. I don't count stats, or titles, or achievements, just have fun in Alliance Battles etc. and PvE. The fact that you can log in having been away for months, and not have the entire game population 50 levels higher than you is a blessing.

Yeah, GW is worth every penny I've spent. I would have payed more.
